Not only was Ricky Pierce the first Bucks player to win Sixth Man of the Year, he did it twice (1987, 1990).

In 1973-74, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won his third MVP Award in five years and set a new franchise single-season record with 283 blocked shots.

A defensive specialist, Moncrief often appeared to have eight arms instead of two, earning himself the nickname "Sid the Squid".

In the 1977 draft, the Bucks had three first round picks and drafted Kent Benson, Marques Johnson and Ernie Grunfeld. Johnson would become a staple in the Bucks for years to come.
