Crystal is a princess of the Inhuman Royal Family and sister of Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans. She often appears with her canine companion, Lockjaw.

Starting with Fantastic Four #4, Namor, the shirtless king of Atlantis, developed a major crush on Sue Richards, the Invisible Woman and mother of two. He tried to steal her away on multiple occasions over the years, but despite Sue's strong physical attraction to Namor, her heart belongs to Reed.

Agatha has been depicted as one of the original witches from the Salem witch trials in Salem, Massachusetts. She somehow survived and became a significant figure in Marvel continuity, protecting Franklin Richards as his nanny and mentoring Wanda Maximoff (the Scarlet Witch) in real magic.

The Impossible Man is mainly used for comedy, portrayed as a lonely, attention seeking alien that often annoys those around him, especially the Fantastic Four.

Though he has been dethroned a number of times, Victor Von Doom has invariably managed to return to the throne of Latveria, an isolated European country surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. Its capital is Doomstadt.

Reading a newspaper announcement of Reed and Sue's wedding day, Doctor Doom uses his emotion-changing device to incite the entire super-villain community to attack the Baxter Building. Events rapidly culminate in an all-out battle between the heroes and villains, until Reed Richards is summoned to the Watcher's citadel, where he is given a device that will allow him to transport all the attackers away, with no memory of what has transpired.

A running joke for years was that landlord Walter Collins was initially eager to rent out to a superhero team for the publicity and prestige, but he soon regretted his decision as the building became a constant target for attacks by supervillains starting with Fantastic Four #6 in which Doctor Doom launched the entire building into outer space.

The three remaining Skrulls transform into cows at Reed's instruction, and he hypnotizes them into believing they are real cows. It is later discovered that the Skrull cows bred with normal cows, producing a Skrull/cow hybrid.

In this story arc, which took place during John Byrne's much heralded run on the series, Reed Richards is on trial for saving the life of Galactus ... which led to the consumption of several planets throughout the universe. The executors of the trial are holding Reed responsible for the trillions upon trillions of lives lost.

A cute robot sidekick named H.E.R.B.I.E. was created for the series because the Human Torch had been optioned to another company for use in a solo movie that never materialized. The character was integrated into the comics continuity shortly afterwards.
