It takes light from the sun about 43 minutes to reach Jupiter. The return trip to the Earth can take from 35 to 52 minutes, depending on whether we are on the same side of the Sun as Jupiter or on the other side.

Valetudo, named after a great-granddaughter of Jupiter, is likely to collide with one of its sister moons at some point on a billions of years timescale.

For all its size and mass, Jupiter moves pretty quickly. It only takes about 10 hours to complete a full rotation on its axis.
