Bandit, Jonny's pet bulldog, is unique among his fellow Hanna-Barbera dogs in that he is a regular non-anthropomorphic dog. Still, he seems uncannily able to understand human speech and is capable of complex facial expressions.

In Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space, the whole band is accidentally launched into outer space. Every episode involves the Pussycats encountering a strange new world, where they are often be captured by various alien races before escaping and attempting to return to Earth.

Magilla usually spends his time in the front display window of Melvin Peebles' pet shop, eating bananas and being a drain on the shop's finances. Peebles regularly marks Magilla's price down, but customers always end up returning Magilla, forcing him to refund their money.

Quick Draw is often accompanied by his deputy, a Mexican burro called Baba Looey, who speaks English with a heavy accent and calls his partner "Queeks Draw". Although he is portrayed as McGraw's sidekick, Baba Looey is clearly the more thoughtful half of the duo, often urging caution before Quick Draw rushes headlong into some trap without listening.

When Professor Utonium set out to create the perfect little girl, he brewed up a concoction that included sugar, spice, and everything nice. Then he accidentally added "Chemical X" to the mixture and the Powerpuff Girls were born--three super-powered girls dedicated to fighting the forces of evil and protecting the citizens of Townsville.

Exiled from his home planet Zetox for inventing a weapon capable of destroying the universe, Gazoo's punishment is to serve prehistoric "dumb-dumbs" Fred and Barney. Invisible to other adults, Gazoo provides questionable advice to his two charges and occasionally reports to his leader, the Great Gazam. The character is somewhat controversial among diehard Flintstones fans as he adds a futuristic element to the otherwise prehistoric cartoon.

Space Ghost's signature power is invisibility, a power also possessed by his wards, Jan and Jace, and their monkey, Blip.

Captain Caveman's powers include super-strength, a variety of useful objects hidden inside his hair, and a club that allows him to fly. Unfortunately, his club often runs out of power at the least opportune moments.

Like many of Hanna-Barbera's animal characters, Magilla Gorilla wears human accessories, sporting a purple bow tie, red/pink shorts held up by green suspenders, and an undersized derby hat.
