Space Ghost's signature power is invisibility, a power also possessed by his wards, Jan and Jace.

Though he technically shared the show with Dino Boy, the characters occupied different segments and Space Ghost was clearly the star. Not only was he the show's title character, but over the course of two seasons, 42 Space Ghost segments were produced, compared to Dino Boy's 18.

He fights supervillains in outer space, along with his teen sidekicks, Jan and Jace, and Blip the monkey.

Zorak is a Zorathian, or a giant space mantis. One of Space Ghost's greatest enemies, he later joins the cast of his late-night talk show, serving as Space Ghost's unwilling sidekick and bandleader.

Though the original 1960s series aired as a standard Hanna-Barbera Saturday-morning superhero cartoon, Space Ghost Coast to Coast is a reboot of the series intended for adults, reinterpreted as an animated parody talk show and produced using the original artwork.

During the show's original Cartoon Network run, music was played by Zorak and his house band, The Original Way-Outs, from a "prison pod".

His secret identity is revealed as Thaddeus "Tad" Eustace Ghostal in Space Ghost Coast to Coast, though it is inexplicably changed to Thaddeus Bach in the 2004 Space Ghost mini-series from DC Comics, and changed again to Kyr in DC's Future Quest.
