After Merle lures walkers to ambush the Woodbury army, the Governor shoots and kills him leaving his body to reanimate. Daryl then has to kill his walker brother.
After witnessing the death of his mother and brother, Jessie's son Ron fires on Rick. Michonne stabs Ron before he can kill Rick but he shoots Carl in the eye as he falls.
After arriving at Father Gabriel's church, Bob is knocked unconscious by one of the Terminus survivors. When he awakens, he looks down to find that his left leg has been amputated from the knee down as Gareth consumes a huge chunk of meat. Gareth tells Bob "if it makes you feel any better, you taste a lot better than we thought you would".
When Shane lures Rick into the woods in order to kill him, Rick stabs him with a knife, killing him. Carl sees this and draws a gun, which he fires on the reanimated body of Shane Walsh. He is the first person the group sees reanimated without being bit and Rick is forced to tell them that all humans carry the virus that cause them to become walkers when they die.
After Lori dies, Daryl shares with Carl the story of his own mother's death. As a child, he was out playing with the neighborhood kids when he saw firetrucks going to his cabin. His mother had fallen asleep while smoking, and died in the ensuing fire.
In the Supernatural episode "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell", Dean is holding Lucille, Negan's barbed-wire wrapped baseball bat. Jeffrey Dean Morgan had portrayed the role of John Winchester, Sam and Dean's father, and Dean comments "Dad used to love this thing".
After his arm is crushed under a pile of logs, Aaron's left arm is amputated. He then wears a prosthetic metal arm, sometimes switching out the metal hand for a mace.
The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad take place in the same universe. In season 1 of TWD, Glenn steals a Dodge Challenger which looks exactly like the one that belongs to Walter Jr. on Breaking Bad. In season 2, you can see Walter White's Blue Sky meth in a baggie of drugs that belongs to Merle. In season 4, Daryl describes Merle's supplier as a "janky little white guy" who would always say "I'm gonna kill you, bitch", a reference to Jesse Pinkman.
