After becoming aware that her mother has tampered with her mind, removing certain memories, Wonder Woman has doubts about rejoining the team. She sets out to test herself, asking other JLA members to monitor her missions, to see if her memory loss has compromised her ability to fight crime. Ultimately, the labors are successful, and she is unanimously allowed to rejoin the League.
Aquaman dissolves the JLA and rewrites its charter to allow only heroes who will devote themselves full-time to the league. The new team initially consists of Aquaman, Zatanna, Martian Manhunter, Elongated Man, the Vixen, and a trio of teenage heroes Gypsy, Steel, and Vibe.
Warhawk, the son of John Stewart and Hawkgirl, first appeared in the Batman Beyond episode "The Call" (2000). He works with the new Batman as a member of Justice League Unlimited.

Located on the outskirts of Gotham, Arkham Asylum is a psychiatric hospital where many of Batman's foes are sent for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, Arkham doesn't have a very good track record. Inmates escape on a regular basis, and those who are discharged often return to a life of crime.
Despero forces Flash to play a game similar to chess in order to prevent the other members of the Justice League from being banished to other planets, but Flash is defeated due to Despero cheating with his third eye. Fortunately, the JLA is able to escape for a rematch.
In the Cry for Justice limited series, JLA foe Prometheus destroys Star City and kills Roy Harper's daughter. After Prometheus tricks the Justice League into releasing him, Green Arrow tracks him down to his hidden lair and kills him with a single arrow right between the eyes.
