Porky's most distinctive trait is a severe stutter, for which he sometimes compensates by replacing the words he is attempting to say with something else. For example, "What's going on?" might become "What's guh-guh-guh-guh ... what's happening?"
Bugs is characterized by a Brooklyn accent, his portrayal as a trickster, and his catch phrase "Eh ... What's up, doc?"
Instead of his animal instincts, Wile E. uses absurdly complex gadgets (often from ACME, a mail-order company and recurring gimmick in Looney Tunes) to catch the elusive Road Runner. But the Coyote's plans always backfire, and he is often injured in slapstick fashion.
He is frequently called a rare and valuable "tweety bird" as a plot device, and was once called "the only living specimen," but the title song of The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries clearly states that Tweety is a canary.
His famous catchphrase is "Sufferin' Succotash" which is said to be a minced oath for "Suffering Savior" (Daffy also says it from time to time).
Yosemite Sam is commonly depicted as an extremely aggressive gunslinging prospector, outlaw, pirate, or cowboy with a hair-trigger temper and an intense hatred of rabbits, Bugs in particular.
Many Looney Tunes cartoons end with Porky Pig bursting through a bass drum and stuttering his signature line: "Th-Th-The, Th-Th-The, Th-Th ... That's all, folks!"
